Saima Latif is the convener of WWA Rahim Yar Khan and a member of National Steering Committee. She joined the alliance in 2021. By profession, she is a Principal of a private school and is in the field of education from the last 4.5 years. Saima is passionate to work for the financial independence of women especially the poor and marginalized. She has also worked with various civil society organizations as a volunteer that introduced her to the Women Workers Alliance. She joined the alliance as its’ mandate to work for the improving the workplace conditions aligns the objective of WWA with her own passion. She says that as long as working women are not provided better working conditions, majority of women will remain out of the workforce. She credits WWA for building her confidence and capacity to advocate for women workers issues. She along with other members convinced the management of a private company and a school to allocate separate washroom for female staff.
