Samina Sarwar is the president of Women Workers Alliance, Quetta, Balochistan and member of National Steering Committee. She joined the alliance in 2017 and is one of the founding members. She works in the field of administration in government projects for the last 15 years. Being a working mother who faced various challenges while juggling between nurturing her children and fulfilling work responsibilities, the issue of separate washrooms and daycare for women are close to her heart. She says that Women Workers Alliance enabled her to work on these issues and gave her utmost satisfaction. She got a separate washroom and sitting room allocated for women in the Balochistan Secretariat and the minimum wage implemented in Babar English Medium School Balochistan. She is also actively lobbying for the implementation of equal wages and equal growth opportunities for women in government departments.
