Summiya Malik is a lady health worker at a government hospital in Charsadda. She joined women workers alliance in 2021 when the existing alliance members surveyed the women workers at her hospital about the working conditions of nurses. After her interaction with the alliance, she became motivated to work for the issues of women workers. Being a nurse, she was observing a number of problems including low wages, non-availability of separate washrooms and daycare and water shortage at the hospital. She wanted to work on resolving these issues for all nurses as well as for the working women in other organizations. After becoming a member of the WWA, she along with other alliance members worked together and got the separate washrooms built and withheld salaries released to the women workers at a hospital and a school and continues to do the same for women workers of other organizations too.
